Questions
The short answers, before you apply.
Joining
Is Kingdom Sworn whitelisted?
Yes. Everyone applies first and a person reads the application. Only approved KCD:MP names can join the server.
How long does review take?
Usually within two days. Staff may ask a follow-up question, and your application page shows its status.
What if my application is denied?
You will get the reason by email and can apply again after 14 days.
Which name do I put on the application?
The exact KCD:MP player name you will join with. The whitelist is matched to it (case does not matter), so a different name will be turned away.
Can I change my KCD:MP name later?
Tell the staff before you join with the new one, and we will update the whitelist.
Do I need Discord or a microphone?
You need an email address for the application. Discord and voice help, but the realm is built around in-game text and scenes.
When does the server open?
Not yet. Applications are open now, and the address and Discord invite will appear on the How to join page.
The game
What is KCD:MP?
A multiplayer mod for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Kingdom Sworn is a role-play server that runs on it. You need the base game on Steam and the mod from kcd-mp.com.
Which game version do I need?
The one KCD:MP requires. The mod is pinned to a specific game build, so check the launcher and avoid beta branches.
Is it pay to win?
No, and it never will be. Nothing can be bought with real money, and trading goods or coin for real money is against the rules.
Crafts and guilds
Do I have to be a crafter?
No. You can be anyone in Kuttenberg. But the town runs on crafted goods, so even a customer, courier or guard will meet the guilds quickly.
How many guilds can I join?
At most two. Anyone may practise any craft up to level 3 without joining, so you can still dabble outside your guilds.
What do the ranks mean?
Levels 1 to 3 are Apprentice, 4 to 7 Journeyman and 8 to 10 Master. Quality IV items need Journeyman. Master sits behind a masterpiece exam.
What is a maker's mark?
A tag on fine work. Journeyman-rank items of quality III or better are marked with the maker's name, for example a gambeson sewn by Jan of Kuttenberg.
Play
Do I need to follow a story?
There is no fixed plot. You play a person in a busy town. Stay in character and give other players something to react to.
Can my character die?
Yes, but a permanent death (a character kill) must be approved by staff, and only when the story earned it. See rules 2.7 and 2.8.
